Jun 28 2021 · OK fellas I'm looking for some advice/experience on methods to increase the turbo whistle on my truck. I'm not looking for the "loud turbo" tune sound you can get from the RaceMe Ultra or Ray's tuning through warp. I'm talking about having louder spool up and over all turbo noise while driving. I've heard mixed reviews and am hoping for some first hand experience.

Feb 11 2007 · Doing the pan seemed to take some of the edge off the sharp staccato 24 valves make. You oughta consider a '98 12-valve. . . more cab insulation than the '97-older trucks combined with a quieter engine. My '98 is much quieter to ride in than my '01 was which was an HO. . .

Feb 22 2013 · On my cummins I run the stock box with like a dozen holes drilled in it. Quiet and effective for my power levels. When I was younger I liked things louder my duramax had an pod filter in the end of a 3" aluminium intake that really woke up the turbo sound.

I was reading old posts over at the place and some suggested that it was a bad fuel rail pressure regulator (FRPR) or it could also be a loose reluctor wheel on the crankshaft sensor.
